So you might be wondering why I've chosen to use oat milk as the basis for my yoghurt instead of using traditional dairy milk. The main reason is that I have found there is a lack of plant based yoghurt options that aren't just soya based, which not everyone can eat and not everyone enjoys the taste of (myself included!). There is also a huge amount of yoghurt pots with a jam/compote layer and a granola component out there already, but not one is plant-based, which excludes those who are dairy or lactose intolerant a well as those who choose to exclude dairy from their diet, such as vegans! Below you will see some of the benefits of choosing oat milk above dairy milk for your body and for the environment.
Whether you eat dairy or not, oat milk and oat milk yoghurt are delicious options which are good for you, the planet and don't involve forcing a lovely cow to get pregnant for milk, so everyone wins!
